Oh for the love of family.
Today was a wonderful day. Couldnta been better.
1. Farmer's Market: i found many treasures at the market today with Justine, Miranda and Anika: 3 squash, 1 cinnamon roll, 1 zuchinni, 2 peaches, 1 sweet onion, 1 cucumber, 1 loaf of oatmeal maple bread, fresh basil and 1 sweet potato. All for $14 dollars! I met a woman who met her husband at Christian Challenge years ago, and a the man who sold the zuchinni and squash to me told me that I'd be "eating well" this week. I love supporting locals.
2. I cleaned the apartment. Freshly swept floors, wiped counters, clean dishes and washed clothing. YES.
3. I rode my bike to city park this morning. It sprinkled as i rode there, and the i spent some time in God's precious Word, and talking to Him. He answered a prayer yesterday, and He answered more today..he will never fail you.
4. My familia arrived at noon. We vaccumed and house-kept and then headed to La Fiesta para la fiesta with the Davises, mimi and popo, and Allie and kevin. So much fun! we had our own room, and Daddy and Melea and Uncle Kevin got the flan treatment: food in the face :) opening presents was a blast. Uncle kevin said, "this is like christmas, except better because only three of us are opening the gifts. I'm just sayin' what you two are thinking!"
5.KSU football. We all headed to Bill Snyder Stadium for the first game. Melea and I had a lot of fun making weird noises. our favorite quote of the night- "WOW MOM!" which we made actions for by making a "W" with one hand, an "O" with your mouth, and a "W" with the other hand. Then flip the "w" to make an "m" for mom. We are sho matoore.
6. Fireworks: Uncle Kevin and Rachel sang loudly and predicted fireworks direction the entire time, haha. Then Rachel stood and did the wabash by herself. Walking back we linked arms and laughed obnoxiously the entire way back, amidst the displeasure of those around us. I want those girls to choose KSU as their alma mater sooooo badly.
7. Goodbyes: I dont like them....but i love the love in goodbye's, especially with the davises. :) i love rachel's drama. with her, a goodbye is not a goodbye unless is accompanied with tears. I wish so badly i could be with them heading to lyons right now, but i know that distance makes the heart grow fond and i anxiously am already awaiting the christmas season eventhough it is months away.
8. Random favorite moments of the night: popo grabbing natalie's hand and holding it, and then later holding mimi's hand. he is so sentimental lately. :) also, Uncle KEvin retelling how daddy chased mommy. first it was where is kevin, then it turned to where's Kim? Someday we are going to hike Long's peak together. I got daddy Longs Peak info for his birthday, and for melea i gave her cash to come visit me and the promise of a bluestem outting.
OH. and mommy is determined to have me meet Collin Clein, the football player who loves Jesus. haha. oh mommy..... i can say that's probably the first time she's told me to chase a boy, lol.
Goodnight from the Little Apple
PS. I am so excited for the apple season.
